Task and Event
In addition to the alerting functionality, the ZStack ZSphere also provides task and event features to record detailed information about activities within the platform.
This chapter primarily includes the following content:
View and Filter Task
In ZStack ZSphere, you can view task logs for the virtualization platform quickly:
- Operation Tasks: A time-ordered collection of specific operations and their results performed on designated objects within the virtualization platform.
- HA Tasks: After enabling high availability policies, if the virtualization platform triggers a high availability mechanism, high availability task logs will be generated.
- Scheduling Tasks: After enabling dynamic resource scheduling in the cluster, if the virtualization platform triggers dynamic resource scheduling, scheduling task logs will be generated.

- Navigate to .
- Click the appropriate tab to view corresponding tasks:
- If you need to view completed historical operation task logs and ongoing operation task logs, click Operation Task.
- If you need to view triggered high availability migration tasks, click HA Tasks.
- If you need to view scheduling execution history, results, and times, click Scheduling Task.
Filter Tasks
You can view task logs based on specific filtering criteria:
- Select or define a custom time range to view tasks within the selected or custom period.
- Filter tasks using list item filters, such as task results.
- Sort tasks by start time or end time.
- Search for tasks using the search box.
- Adjust the number of tasks displayed per page, with options of 10, 20, 50, or 100 tasks per page, and support pagination.

Cancel Ongoing Operational Tasks
You can cancel operational tasks that are currently in progress. Note that only certain tasks support cancellation.

ZStack ZSphere supports exporting tasks to a CSV file, allowing you to view, analyze, and back up the data offline.

Retain Task and Cleanup Policy
ZStack ZSphere supports customizing task retention periods and expiration cleanup policies to control the size of task logs and the cost of storage space usage.
