Tenant management provides enterprise users with organizational structure management, project-based resource access control, ticket management, independent zone management, and other functions.
The tenant management module is offered as an independent feature, which requires a separate license. This module is an add-on to the base license and cannot be operated independently.
To efficiently manage ZStack Cloud, platform members (platform administrator and regular platform members) can work with the super admin to jointly maintain ZStack Cloud.
Project-oriented resource planning allows you to establish independent resource pools for individual projects. By managing the project lifecycle (including determining time, quotas, and permissions), it improves cloud resource utilizations at granular, automatic level and strengthens mutual collaborations between project members.
To efficiently provide basic resource support for each project, project members (including project owners, project administrators and regular project members) can submit ticket requests for platform resources. The system supports custom approval workflows for each project. These tickets are ultimately approved by the admin, project admins, department managers, or other custom approvers. The system supports five types of ticket requests: applying for new VM instances, deleting VM instances, modifying VM instance configurations, adjusting project duration, and changing project quotas.
A zone usually corresponds to a physical data center in a specific location. Based on resource isolation among zones, you can assign dedicated regional admins for each zone to achieve independent management of local data centers. Meanwhile, the super admin can inspect and manage all zones.
ZStack Cloud provides a unified login authentication service, supporting seamless access to unified login authentication systems. Once integrated, SSO users can enjoy one-click, password-free access to ZStack Cloud and conveniently use cloud resources. The platform already supports integration with authentication systems using the AD, LDAP, OIDC, OAuth2, CAS, and SAML protocols.
ZStack Cloud provides a billing experience similar to that of public clouds. It consolidates the unit prices of various resources into a single price list. By binding this price list to a project or account, usage-based billing statements are automatically generated. The resource types currently supported for billing include: CPU, memory, root volume, data volume, GPU device, public IP (VM IP), public IP (VIP), and elastic baremetal instances
